YES, the neuro did. |

Cellcept had fewer advertised side effects than other medications. My choice to not go more aggressive. |

Neuro's decision. He felt Cellcept had fewer side effects and was worth a try. he had read many articles on the use of Cellcept and really felt it was my best option. If the Cellcept didn't work, then he would go the Prednisone route. |

Both, we were getting desperate and felt I was too young to try some of the other meds with proven severe side effects. (like immuran and cyclosporan). |

I think it was both. He'd mentioned it in passing, but I pushed for it. I'm the first MG patient in the area of about 800,000 people. There's about 30 MGer's and none yet on Cellcept but me. |

Neuro's, but I had no objections as he is at Johns Hopkins and is himself considered one of worlds leading experts on MG. |
|
Rebecca |
Both. I had suggested it to my neuro about a year before we gave it try. Because I had read promising literature about its use for MG. |

I am a nurse practitioner and I urged him to let me try it. I was the first patient he put on it-now does it regularly. |

Neuro gave me the option. |

Neuro suggested it and since I have 100% confidence in him I readily agreed. |

I presented it to him, as Imuran was not helping with lung/breathing problems. Then we both agreed to try Cellcept. |
