I think everyone can try it. I prefer it over any immunosuppressive drug, especially over Prednison. |
|
Jack |
As stated, most of my treatments have been good. I pray they continue. |
|
Dennis |
It was not an unpleasant experience and the level of care was exellent. |
|
Marianne |
I can tell when it is close to my next treatments by my symptoms. |

Carol |
for me its my miracle drug. Also easier to tolerate than plasma pheresis. |
|
Bette |
Both times I've had the treatments, it helped my breathing and I believe prevented a crisis. |

THEY ARE GREAT WITH THIS NEW MED. PLACE IM WITH. I GO THERE AND THE NURSES ARE REALLY ON THE BALL. AND ENTERTAINING EVEN THO I HAVE TO SIT IN A CLOSET SUPPLY ROOM. ITS MY NEW LIFE STYLE IS SOOOO BOREING. BEATS SITTING IN MY HOUSE LOOKING AT ALL MY WALLS WITH DOULBE VISION. :) THEY ARE COOL. WITH THE OLD PLACE THEY SENT NURSES OUT TO THE HOUSE WHO HAD NEVER DOEN THE PROCEDUE BEFORE. TOOK UP HOURS TO GET A NEEDLE IN ME. WAS VERY NERVE WRACKING AND STRESSFUL. NOW I SNOOZE AND WORK ON MY KNITTING AND HELP ORGANIZED THE NURSES. ITS AACTUALLY A FUN SOCIAL EVENT. ( SAD HUH??) |

I would have no hesitation in recommending its use for anyone. I like to think that it compliments my other medications and gives them more of a chance to do what they were intended to do. From a purely personal point of view it was the turning point for me in my treatment of MG. |

Keeps me going. No complaints except for the time consuming sessions |

Woody |
They each have worked exceedingly well, with no adverse effects. |

I love them. I look at them as just another medication. And frankly, I don't mind going to the hospital for the whole day either. Gets me away from the computer and other tasks. It's the one day that forces me to do nothing other than rest. Helps me to stay sane and work full-time (I'm very career-oriented Type A personality). |

My doctor believes that 5 consecutive days are the rule. I think I could do less on a maintenance schedule. |
|
Sue |
for me they have been a life saver. |

It worked very well after the first full course of treatment, but subsequent treatment did not seem to help enough to warent continued treatments. My doc said that happens with some people. |

IVIG has been my life-saver. I'm sure plasmapheresis would have been beneficial for me when I was in crisis, but the IVIG seems to be so much less invasive and have less risk of side effects. Ivig has allowed me to continue working for which I am grateful. |
