The side effects some months are tough. I had viral meningitis one month from the IVIG. |

The only negative factor with IVIG is the exceedingly high cost. Fortunately, between medicare and supplemental Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical insurance, it is paid for. Otherwise, the Gamimmune N treatments are about $4000/day, for the material alone, not counting hospital charges for administration of the infusions. The brands the local hospital normally use cost about $65/gram, vs. $98/gram for the Gamimmune N. I'm not certain whether this applies universally, or just with this local facility. |

Nothing really - as long as I have good nurses who don't have to poke me 3 times and/or bruise my arms ...I've walked out of there looking like I'm an abused wife! Imagine the looks I get at work from people who don't know I'm getting treatments! |

IVIG did not help me because I was unable to continue treatments because of the aseptic meningitis. |
